Kenneth W. Knopf, D.M.D.

Dr. Kenneth W. Knopf graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1980. He has been practicing dentistry here in Gainesville since his graduation. Dr. Knopf attended Cornell University in New York for his undergraduate. He also has his masters and PhD in Entomology. Dr. Knopf is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Alachua County Dental Association and the Central District Association.

Dr. Knopf and his wife, Debby, together have four children, Craig, Jessica, Kyle and Marissa. Three of the four work in various capacities in the office.

In his spare time, Dr. Knopf enjoys running, fishing, hunting and woodworking.

Alecia Skipper McDonald, D.M.D.

Dr. McDonald is a recent graduate of the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. She also completed her undergraduate studies at UF with a major in microbiology. She is a huge GATOR fan and has fallen in love with the city of Gainesville so much so that she has decided to practice here in Gainesville.

Dr. McDonald is a member of the Alachua County Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Central District Dental Association.

Dr. McDonald was born in Pensacola, Florida, the cradle of aviation. She comes from a military family and relocated to a new adventure every five years living in many areas of the country as well as overseas in the Philippines. Of course, traveling has become her passion and she is always planning for the next holiday.

In her spare time she enjoys sewing, playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, and spending time with her husband.

Kirk B. Juhasz, D.M.D.

Dr. Kirk Juhasz is a recent graduate of the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. Originally from Idaho, Dr. Juhasz grew up in a large military family of seven kids. He obtained his B.S. in Biology from Brigham Young University. He served a two-year mission in Poland where he learned to speak Polish and grew a fond love for all things Polish. In addition, he spent two weeks in the Galapagos Islands on a dental mission trip.

Dr. Juhasz is a proud parent of two adorable firecrackers, Finley and Noelle. His wife, Tanya, is pursuing her Master's Degree while enjoying being a full-time mom.

When Kirk and Tanya married in 2005, their wedding was featured on the TLC's "The Wedding Story." Occasionally, random strangers will recogninze them from re-run episodes.

Dr. Juhasz's loves include his family, faith, dentistry, Gator football, golf, weightlifting, and reading.

Tammy, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist

Tammy is one of our dental hygienists. She is very personable and makes all patients feel at home. Tammy grew up in High Springs, and is currently living in Alachua. While in her senior year of high school she began her dental hygiene education. She graduated in 1992 with her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Santa Fe Community College. Tammy has been a part of our team since 1995.

Tammy is married to Scotty and they have a son, Zach, and a daughter, Savannah. Their third "child" is a rat terrier named Mika.

Tammy's hobbies include scrap booking, boating, and spending quality time with her family.

Kelly, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist

Kelly's dental experience began in 1995 when she worked as one of our sterilization assistants. It was during that time that she became motivated to pursue a dental hygiene career. She graduated in 1999 with honors from Santa Fe Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She rejoined our team in December of 1999.

Kelly loves spending time with her family. She and her husband, Kevin were raised in Gainesville. They have a very energetic toddler, Megan, who keeps them laughing. Their newest addition to the family is Jacob. He is a happy little boy and a great baby brother. They love to play with their big brother, Ruger, their blonde Labrador.

Jenna, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist

Jenna is one of our many dental hygienists. She graduated from SFCC in 2001 and was a dental assistant before entering the dental hygiene program.

Jenna loves spending time with (and chasing after) her Son, Ethan, and four mini-dachshunds (Daisy, Lily, Diesel and Audie). Jenna enjoys the outdoors and in her spare time heads to the gym for an intense workout.

Jenna loves working with children as well as adults trying to achieve exceptional dental health and in building a long lasting friendship with our patients.

Addie, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist

Addie is one of our dental hygienists. She has been working in the dental field since she was 15 years old. Addie received her Associate of Arts degree from UF and her Associate of Science degree from Santa Fe Community College in Dental Hygiene. She is now back at UF taking classes to receive her Bachelor's degree in Health Education.

Addie is originally from Bradenton, Florida and has been living in Gainesville since 2002. She enjoys playing the violin, rollerblading and spending time with her friends, family and pets.

Whitney, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist

Whitney is one of our many dental hygienists. She graduated in May 2007 from Santa Fe Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.

Whitney is a life long resident of Lake City, Florida where she lives with her husband, Dustin. They have a new addition to their family, their daughter, Peyton who was born in summer 2008. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Maranda, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist

Maranda is one of our many dental hygienists. She graduated from Santa Fe Community college with an Associate of Science degree in Dental hygiene. Before her days as a hygienist she worked at Millhopper Family Dentistry as a dental assistant.

Maranda was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida and is a true gator fan. In her spare time she likes to read literature about the dental field to stay on top of the newest research and developments for her patients. She also enjoys watching football and spending time with her family and friends.

Tina, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist

Tina is one of our dental hygienists. She has been with our office since 2006. Tina is a National Board Certified Dental Assistant as well as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is a graduate of Santa Fe College and has recently returned for her BAS in Healthcare Administration.

In her spare time Tina loves to spend time with her dog Molly. She also enjoys cooking and working out.

Vanessa has been living in Gainesville since 1988. She started working at Millhopper Family Dentistry in 2007. She graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Santa Fe Community College in June 2008. Vanessa lives with her boyfriend, Chris, and cat, Kyo. In her free time she likes to make jewelry, go to the beach, fish, and hang out with Chris.

Brenda
Dental Assistant

Brenda is one of our dental assistants. Although she has only been with our practice since 2001, you would never know it. She immediately took initiative and from the start was a very hard worker. She takes special time to sit and become acquainted with patients on a personal level.

Brenda is originally from Miami, Florida. She has been providing dentistry with her excellent service since 1984. She is expanded function certified and radiology certified.

Brenda is happily married to Tim and they share two teenage daughters, Heather and Lauren.

To relieve stress, Brenda spends time in her garden.

Tami, C.D.A.
Certified Dental Assistant

Tami is one of our expanded functions dental assistants. One of Tami’s biggest responsibilities is being our head assistant. She does the scheduling for the other assistants, is our implant coordinator and goes beyond the call of duty wherever necessary. She has been employed since 1998. Tami is a sincere, polite, and friendly person who prides herself on making your appointment as soothing as possible.

Tami attended Jacksonville dental assisting school and has been working as an assistant since 1991. She also attended the University of Florida where she received her Expanded Duties Certification.

Tami is from Keystone Heights, Florida and is the youngest of five children in her family.

Water skiing and gardening consume most of Tami’s free time. She likes to spend time relaxing with her close friends and family.

Natalie,
Dental Assistant

Natalie has truly been a part of the Millhopper "Family". At the age of three, Natalie had her first Dental visit and has been coming to the office since, and continues as a Dental Assistant now with two years past Sterilization experience in the office. Natalie is in school currently working towards becoming a dental hygienist at Santa Fe Community College.

Natalie was raised here in Gainesville and loves to spend time with her family, watch the Gators play, and play with her little dogs, Bradley and Carlee.

Lynette, C.D.A.
Certified Dental Assistant

Lynette is a very outgoing person who loves to laugh and have fun. Lynette is originally from Clearwater, but attended dental assisting school in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Lynette has a lovely daughter named Aniya with whom she loves to spend her time. They are new to Gainesville, and she looks forward to meeting you.

Jenny, C.D.A.
Certified Dental Assistant

Jenny is one of our expanded duties dental assistants. She has been a dental assistant since 1994. Jenny loves to make our patients feel welcome and comfortable during their dental treatment. Jenny received her expanded duties certification and radiology license from the University of Florida. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida.

Jenny is originally from Palm Beach, Florida and she grew up in beautiful Jupiter, Florida. Jenny moved to Gainesville in 2003 and has since made Gainesville her home. She and her husband Justin enjoy spending time together with their family and friends, exercising, cooking, and spoiling their dogs Skamper, Lady, and Percy. Jenny and Justin are expecting their first child in November!

Certified Dental Assistant

Susan is one of our many dental assistants. She graduated from the Santa Fe Community College Dental Assisting program in 2002. She also graduated in 2005 from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Travel and Tourism Management.
Susan has been working as a dental assistant since 2006 in St. Augustine. Recently, she returned to Gainesville with her husband, Billy and son, Billy. She is currently working towards becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist at Santa Fe Community College.
Susan was raised here in Gainesville and loves spending her free time with her husband and son.

Linda,
Dental Assistant

Linda is one of our dental assistants. She has graduated from the Dental Assisting Program from Santa Fe College and has also earned her Bachelor's in Sociology from the University of Florida. Linda is very friendly and would love to help you with your dental needs. When she is able to, she loves to spend time with her boyfriend, Rahul, cook, and relax with friends and family.

Jessica
Office Administator

Jessica is one of our office administrators. She has been at Millhopper Family Dentistry since 2002. Jessica is always smiling and doing her best to make the office run smoothly.

Jessica has lived in the area all her life. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics.

When Jessica is not working she enjoys spending time with her loving husband, Bob and traveling. Jessica and Bob have a sweet hound dog named Sugar.

Cheryl
Office Administrator

Cheryl is one of our office administrators. She has been a part of our Millhopper family since 2005 when she and her family moved here from New York. With her kind and outgoing personality she is always eager to assist our patients and staff in any way she can.

When Cheryl is not at work she is enjoying time with her husband, Greg and their sons Devon and Justin. She also likes spending her free time reading, crocheting and walking.

Amanda
Administrative Assistant

Amanda is one of our administrative assistants. She has been with our practice since 2005. Amanda has lived in Gainesville most of her life and attended Santa Fe Community College.

Outside the office Amanda loves spending time with her family. She and her husband, Frank, have 2 daughters, Anna and Ally, who are the light of their lives. Amanda enjoys movies with her husband, taking her kids to the park, and going on family vacations.

Sharon
Administrative Assistant

Sharon is one of many smiling faces to greet you when visiting Millhopper Family Dentistry. Sharon became part of our Adminsitrative team in April 2007. She is happy to help you with any questions you may have regarding new patient appointments, insurance and scheduling dental procedures.

Sharon enjoys golfing, hiking, visiting the beach and spending time with her best friend and husband Keith, her daughter Krystal and son-in-law Jedidiah her youngest daughter Jayme and Jayme's Fiancé Justin and last but not least Brandy Alexandra our very active Terrior.

Erica
Administrative Assistant

Erica has been an administrative assistant for Millhopper Family Dentistry since 2007. She lives with her husband, Kyle, and their two children, Kyleigh and Waylon. They also have two dogs, Hanna and Bailey.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being involved with her church, four-wheeling, fishing, and all the joys of motherhood.

Timothy Murphy
Administrative Assistant

Timothy Murphy was born in Gainesville, then grew up in Alachua.
He started working with MFD in 2007, and is planning to go to SFCC in January to further his education. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar and dancing.

Chanté
Administrative Assistant

Chanté is one of our Administrative Assistants. She began working at Millhopper Family Dentistry in 2008. Chanté is always enthusiastic in welcoming you when you walk through our door. She is happy and eager to help all of our patients with a friendly smile.

Chanté attends Santa Fe Community College where she is earning her Associate of Science Degree in Health Information Management. Chanté was born in Virginia, but has been in Florida for 20 years.

Chanté loves to go to the beach and hang out with her family.
