Doctors
Dr. Kenneth W. Knopf graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1980. He has been practicing dentistry here in Gainesville since his graduation. Dr. Knopf attended Cornell University in New York for his undergraduate. He also has his masters and PhD in Entomology. Dr. Knopf is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Alachua County Dental Association and the Central District Association. Dr. Knopf and his wife, Debby, together have four children, Craig, Jessica, Kyle and Marissa. Three of the four work in various capacities in the office. In his spare time, Dr. Knopf enjoys running, fishing, hunting and woodworking.
Dr. Markham graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1998. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Miami, Florida. He then practiced in Miami until returning to the Gainesville area in 2001 where he practiced in High Springs for three years. Dr. Markham also received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Finance. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Alachua County Dental Association, and the Central Florida District Association. He is also a part time clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Dr. Markham is from Lake City, Florida. He is happily married to Merry-Jennifer who is chief resident in internal medicine at the VA hospital in Gainesville and will begin a fellowship in hematology/oncology in July, 2005. Dr. Markham and Merry-Jennifer have a one year old daughter, Madeline, and two cats, Fritz and Mitzi.
In his spare time, Dr.
Markham enjoys spending time with his family, spinning at the gym, hunting,
fishing and reading.
Dr. Daniel Rooke graduated
for the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2006. Completing a General
Practice Residency at the Malcolm Randall Veterans Administration in June
2007, his focus concentrates on preventative measures and has experience in
all aspects of restorative dentistry, including esthetics and implant therapy.
Originally from the Adirondack
Mountains of New York State, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and fishing. He will
soon be married to Dr. Piper Keller in October 2007, who is currently a resident
at Shands UF in the Department of Radiology. Dental Hygienists
Kelly is one of our six dental hygienists. She has a huge heart and will go out of her way to make your visit memorable. Kellys dental experience began in 1995 while she worked as one of our sterilization assistants during high school. It was during that time she became motivated to pursue a dental hygiene career. She graduated in 1999 with honors from Santa Fe Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She rejoined our team in December of 1999 as a full time hygienist.
Kelly loves spending time with her family. She and her husband, Kevin, were raised in Gainesville. They love spending time with the new pride and joy of the family, Ruger, their Labrador puppy. The remainder of her free time is spent painting, scrap booking, exercising and spending time with church family and friends.

Nancy is one of our six dental hygienists. She also spends a day a week doing all of the supply ordering. During the week, Nancy can be seen stocking the clinical area. Nancy takes pride in remembering patients names and faces. She spends quality time with her patients and goes the extra step to make your appointment special. She attended St. Petersburg College where she received her Associate of Arts degree; she then attended Northern Virginia Community College where she received her degree in Dental Hygiene. Nancy was a dental assistant for eleven years before becoming a hygienist. She has been a hygienist since 1990. She has been with our practice since 1992. Nancy is married to Greg and they have a daughter, Brook. Snickers and Reesi are the cats they love to spoil. For relaxation Nancy takes pleasure in gardening, reading, canoeing, and antiquing.
Tammy is one of our six
dental hygienists. She is very personable and makes all patients feel at home.
Tammy grew up in High Springs, and is currently living in Alachua. While in
her senior year of high school she began her dental hygiene education. She
graduated in 1992 with her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from
Santa Fe Community College. Tammy has been a part of our team since 1995.
Traci is one of our six
dental hygienists. She is also responsible for updating all of the information
related to OSHA. She is able to communicate with patients on a personal level
so that they can better understand their dental needs.
Jenna is one of our many
dental hygienists. She graduated from SFCC and was a dental assistant before
entering the dental hygiene program.
Addie is one of our dental hygienists. She has been working in the dental field since she was 15 years old. Addie received her Associate of Arts degree from UF and her Associate of Science degree from Santa Fe Community College in Dental Hygiene. She is now back at UF taking classes to receive her Bachelor's degree in Health Education. Addie is originally from Bradenton, Florida and has been living in Gainesville since 2002. She enjoys playing the violin, rollerblading and spending time with her friends, family and pets.
Whitney is one of our
many dental hygienists. She graduated in May 2007 from Santa Fe Community
College with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.
Jeanne is one of our dental hygienists. She graduated in May 2007 from Santa Fe Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Jeanne has lived in Gainesville for 6 years, originally from France she enjoys traveling with her husband Alan and their two sons Jake and Noah. As a family they also like to go fishing, canoeing and spending time with friends. "What I enjoy most

Sterilization Assistants
Timothy Murphy was born
in Gainesville, then grew up in Alachua.
Vanessa has been living in Gainesville since 1988. She started working at MFD in 2007. She is currently in the Dental Assisting Program at SFCC. Vanessa lives with her boyfriend Chris, and cat Kyo. In her free time she likes to make jewelry, go to the beach, fish, and hang out with Chris.
Dental Assistants
Brenda is one of our six dental assistants. Although she has only been with our practice since 2001, you would never know it. She immediately took initiative and from the start was a very hard worker. She takes special time to sit and become acquainted with patients on a personal level. Brenda is originally from Miami, Florida. She has been providing dentistry with her excellent service since 1984. She is expanded function certified and radiology certified. Brenda is happily married to Tim and they share two teenage daughters, Heather and Lauren. To relieve stress, Brenda spends time in her garden.
Janet is
one of our expanded duties dental assistants. She is a wonderful team member
at our office. She doesn't only enjoy her job working with patients but she
keeps our staff upbeat and laughing. She's a joy to work with.
Tami is one of our expanded functions dental assistants. One of Tamis biggest responsibilities is being our head assistant. She does the scheduling for the other assistants, is our implant coordinator and goes beyond the call of duty wherever necessary. She has been employed since 1998. Tami is a sincere, polite, and friendly person who prides herself on making your appointment as soothing as possible.
Tami attended Jacksonville dental assisting school and has been working as an assistant since 1991. She also attended the University of Florida where she received her Expanded Duties Certification.
Tami is from Keystone Heights, Florida and is the youngest of five children in her family.
Water skiing and gardening
consume most of Tamis free time. She likes to spend time relaxing with
her close friends and family.

Tina is one of our many
dental assistants.She has been with our office since 2006. Tina is a National
Board Certified Dental Assistant and a graduate of Santa Fe Community College.
In addition to working in our office, she is also continuing her education
to become a dental hygienist and will be graduating in 2008.
Natalie has truly been a part of the Millhopper "Family". At the age of three, Natalie had her first Dental visit and has been coming to the office since, and continues as a Dental Assistant now with two years past Sterilization experience in the office. Natalie is in school currently working towards becoming a dental hygienist at Santa Fe Community College. Natalie was raised here
in Gainesville and loves to spend time with her family, watch the Gators play,
and play with her little dog, Bradley.
Lynette is a very outgoing person who loves to laugh and have fun. Lynette is originally from Clearwater, but attended dental assisting school in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Lynette has a lovely daughter named Aniya with whom she loves to spend her time. They are new to Gainesville, and she looks forward to meeting you.
Front Office
Marissa is one of our
administrative assistants. She has been with our practice since 2003. Marissa
previously worked in the clinical area of our office as a sterilization assistant.
She is currently enrolled at the University of Florida and plans to graduate
in 2009.
Amanda is one of our administrative assistants. You may speak to her on the phone when calling in and she is usually the first person you will see when you walk in the door. Amanda was born here in
Gainesville and attended Santa Fe Community College. When she is not in the
office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Frank, daughter Anna, and
their dog, Zeus.
Cheryl recently joined
us here at Millhopper Family Dentistry in October as an administrative assistant.
You may speak to her on the phone when calling or meet her at the front desk
in the office. Sharon is one of many
smiling faces to greet you when visiting Millhopper Family Dentistry. Sharon
became part of our Adminsitrative team in April 2007. She is happy to help
you with any questions you may have regarding new patient appointments, insurance
and scheduling dental procedures.
Loreyly works as an administrative
assistant here at Millhopper Family Dentistry. She is usually one of the first
people you speak with here at the front desk. Loreyly moved from Dominican
Republic to the United States when she was 8 years old. She has lived in Gainesville
ever since. She hopes to continue her education in the medical field as a
Radioligist.
